Hashcodex developed a custom crypto wallet designed for everyday users in the West African market. The wallet allows users to send crypto through their phone contacts, receive digital assets, swap tokens, stake assets, borrow funds, add custom tokens, and analyze market trends using advanced charts similar to MetaMask, all from one platform.
The project we worked on was Jokko Chain, founded by Jean Amine and Arthur Benchou from Ivory Coast. They wanted to make cryptocurrency easier for people in West Africa to use every day. Their goal was to create a wallet where users could manage their digital assets in one place, just like they use traditional money for daily transactions.
To make this idea a reality, they wanted features such as staking, token swaps, borrowing, custom token support, sending crypto through phone contacts, and the ability for users to add their own tokens to the wallet. They wanted users to access different crypto services without moving between multiple apps. To make this possible, they chose Hashcodex for crypto wallet development because they needed a team that could build a custom wallet from scratch and bring all their requirements together in one complete solution.
Before starting the project, the founders studied several well-known crypto wallets. They noticed that many focused on users who already understood cryptocurrency rather than making crypto easy for everyone to use in their daily lives.
To send cryptocurrency, users often had to copy and paste long wallet addresses. If even one character was entered incorrectly, the funds could be sent to the wrong address or lost. This made transfers stressful, especially for people who were new to crypto.
Users often had to rely on different apps or service providers to buy, swap, stake, or borrow cryptocurrency. The founders saw an opportunity to bring these services together in one wallet, making everyday crypto activities more convenient.
The founders needed a wallet that supported custom tokens, staking, borrowing, and security features based on their specific requirements. Ready-made solutions did not offer the flexibility and control they needed. Most off-the-shelf wallets could not support all their requirements in one place.

Instead of reusing code from our previous projects, we designed the UI and developed the code based on the client's specific needs.
Each external service came with its own integration requirements. We integrated these services into the wallet to bring the required features together in one place.
One of the main challenges was handling new integration requirements that called for UI changes while backend development was already underway. We adapted to these changes and coordinated our work to keep the project moving forward.
We implemented a token addition process that allows users to add cryptocurrencies themselves instead of relying on a fixed list. This required us to handle user-provided token details carefully.
We developed a contact-based transfer flow to support the client's goal of making cryptocurrency easier to use in everyday life.
We completed the security features specified by the client as part of the wallet development. Alongside developing the wallet's features and integrations, we implemented the required security measures to meet the agreed project requirements.
We successfully completed and delivered the Jokko Chain project to the client, providing access to the complete source code and all relevant confidential project information.
The Jokko Chain project works really well across all integrations and functions perfectly when users make crypto transfers through contacts. This allows Jokko Chain users to avoid costly mistakes when sending cryptocurrencies to anyone.
